The project is following the approved environmental planning process for Group ‘B’ projects under the Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) for Provincial Transportation Facilities (2000).
This Detail Design and Class EA is a continuation of consultation that was previously conducted by others (2016). As part of the detail design and Class EA alternative options are being developed and evaluated based on engineering and environmental factors. The technically preferred alternative is being evaluated by the detail design Project Team. Upon completion of the evaluation the selected alternative will be carried forward.
A Transportation Environmental Study Report (TESR) will be placed on file with the MTO and the project will become eligible for construction when it has met all the requirements of the Class EA.
